We are a happy family!

This past week, Brittany and Andrew, Brooke and her littles Emily and Camden.
It was the best. I have missed being so close to them since we have been in Washington for the summer. The first day we went to the zoo, my favorite!

(such a daddy's boy)
Manatees!
Cam and Lukers
(Luke does have shorts on, they're just ridin' up)

We went to the outlets one of the days too. ALLL DAY LOOONG!
I love buying clothes for my little man-especially when they are a great price!
The ride up took about 45 minutes all of the little ones fell asleep!

One of our last days we went to Willow Grove-we were too exhausted to drive to `an actual beach.
Luke did NOT like the sand. He doesn't like grass either. Weirdo!

When we got home it was bath time.

The boys discovered that the ottoman was a horse!

Such a great weekend. Miss them already!

He had a birthday, Shout hooooray!

Luke is a year old! Holy Moly!
We had a birthday party for him with my family, and Grant's. It's so great to have family around.
The theme for this boys big day was...Cookie Monster!
It really was a blast. He loved eating his cupcake.

He got soo many gifts! What a spoiled tyke. But our favorite part was being surrounded by so many loved ones. His two cousins, Olivia and Matthew, were so fun. They love to play with each other.

We are so thrilled for Luke.
He is growing so fast and furious (get it? Because his 1 year molars are coming in??).
Love you little man!

My babe is a year old!

Can you believe it?? I sure can't. We are so excited for Luke. But at the same time, it's kind of sad. I feel like we were blessed with the sweetest baby boy just yesterday, and now he is a big boy!
Luke has been the biggest blessing in our lives. He brings a smile to my face every time I look at him.
He's is our best friend. There is nothing we love more than watching him grow. When he says Daddy, or more, or even when he is a sass and tell us STOP. No matter what, he will always be our baby boy, and best friend forever!

Happy Birthday Lukers!!

Oh! I almost forgot..

That I even had a blog! Oh my.

Well..there have been a lot of changes with this little family.
First off, we are in Washington! We decided to come home for the summer! It's so fun having both of our families around, especially now that the Picketts-who are having their third little one in July- have moved to Washington for good. But..I really do miss Idaho. I knew I would miss my sister and her family a lot, but I actually miss being in Rexburg. Who would have thought??
Luke is a talking tyke (given he only says a few words, but we are still please).
He says Daddy, stop, please, and hi. Oh and he sometimes says mom, but mainly daddy because they are best pals. I'm the one who wipes the boogies, which he hates, so he gets fed up with me haha.
AND! He is having his first birthday next month! We can't believe how old he's getting. It blows my mind. I feel like he was born just the other day. My oh my.
Other than those few things, there hasn't been a lot going on.
I'll try to be better at posting. It's just the last thing on my mind, even though I love reading other people's blogs.
Have a good one!

Feeding the ducks. Picking the daisies. Loving the sunshine.

Winter Break in Island Park

So we spent the week in Island Park with the whole Robinson clan.
The whole time we were there I just kept thinking about how lucky I am for all I have.

Number 1: My husband who also happens to be my best bud.

Number 2: My little boy that is cuter than anything I've ever seen and the sweetest baby ever.
Number 3: The greatest family ever. And I feel even luckier that I get two! Grant's family is the best.

We may not have much, but at the same time I have everything I could ever want.

Longview Adventures

Reunited. And it feels so good!
It's been so great being home. We are loving every minute of it. We have just been hanging around vegging. I couldn't ask for anythin' better.
Luke and Katy are total bffs. They have been inseparable. I love it.

We were kind of worried that Luke would be timid towards the fam but he has just loved all the attention! He lights up every time he sees his nanny. They have so much fun together. He has been loving all the treats that grandpa gives him too..of course. He is a lug.

Luke is such a personality. I feel like he is already so charismatic. No matter who he looks at he just gives them such a look of adoration.
He's got those Olson happy eyes.
Kay bought a johnny jump up a while back. He has never been in one. But oh my! He gets such a kick out of it. He and Grant are such a riot together while Luke is in it.

I'm so excited for Lucas' very first Christmas! We are having so much fun. And what a lucky kid. He gets 2 Christmases. Dang Boy.
Luke is definitely surrounded by love here in Longview

Home Sweet Home

We are finally going home!
I am so thrilled. I can't wait for my parents and in laws to see our sweet boy again! Kay gets to see Luke everyday just about thanks to FaceTime. But my mom hasn't seen him for a while now.
I think one of my favorite things about vacationing is packing.
Weird. I know.
I think it's just so fun to get organized with all you need and it makes the anticipation that much better.
We are driving four hours to Boise on Saturday and then flying home to Portland. I cannot wait.
This will be Luke's second flight. His first was when he was about two months old and didn't really seem to care.Crossing fingers that he hasn't changed in that aspect.
I just can't wait for Luke to celebrate his first Christmas with mine and Grant's families. It's such a shame living so far from them. But these next two weeks are going to be pure bliss.

PS. While we were at Broulim's we saw Santa!
